Upward communication is formal and official in nature. When, within an organization, information is given to superiors by their subordinates, it is known as upward communication. Upward communication can only take place if subordinates feel free to convey their opinions and attitude and to report freely on their own work. Upward channel is useful as it provides valuable feedback to the higher authorities in the form of information, suggestions, responses, etc. from the lower level.

Every business or business house sends out and receives in oral and written messages both internally and externally. Both these internal and external channels are equally important to the success and smooth working through the business organization.

To warn means to caution, to put on guard, about a possible danger to the receiver. To warn means to inform someone in advance about the almost certain consequences that may result from his action.
A warning can be given by.
Persuasion is an art of influencing the mind of the listener and hence it should be done with great care. Persuasion may therefore be defined as “an effort to influence the attitudes, feelings or beliefs of others or to influence action based on those attitudes, feeling or beliefs.”
Persuasion is a communicative skill. It enables a persuader to present his point of view from the Receiver's point of view and induce the Receiver to act accordingly. Persuasion is very useful in internal management within an organization.
Persuasion as a skill requires.
One of the important objectives of communication is to offer advice or to counsel. Advice may be given on job-related matters, and counseling may be done on personal matters. Advice or counseling is most effective if it is personally oral communication. Advice opinion given by one to another, Urging him to do or not to do something.
Counseling is an organized and specialized form of advice; it is objective and impersonal. The counselor possesses great skill or knowledge of specific subjects. It is almost professional and is eagerly sought. Now-a-days, many business houses use counseling to solve the personal problems of their employees.
To suggest means to propose or put forward an idea for consideration. A suggestion, therefore, may be defined as an idea that springs up in the mind and is put forward for consideration.
Suggestion is a communication in the upward channel and flows, mainly vertically and sometimes horizontally. A suggestion is different from advice and counseling as a suggestion can be given by anyone seniors as well as juniors. Suggestion is a very mild and subtle form of communication and puts forward an idea for the other person's approval, and the receiver of the suggestion feels elevated because he feels that he is sitting to judge, whether to accept, reject or partially accept the suggestion. The choice lies with him and his own judgment.

To educate means to bring out what is latent in a person. As an objective of business communication, education may be defined as the systematic instructions imparted by the management to its employees both at the managerial and staff level with a view to sharpening the employee's skills for the execution of duties assigned to them.
When a person is appointed to a post in an organization, it is obvious that he has a certain level of education and training suited to the job. However, the pace of progress and development is so fast that the knowledge and information get outdated, and it needs to be upgraded. For this purpose, it is necessary to continue the education of employees by arranging seminars, conferences, etc. Training programs are arranged for few employees. Education and training to the employees are an on-going process. It starts from the day an employee joins a business organization and ends only with his retirement.

Morale is defined as "Collective attitude of the workers towards one another towards their employer and towards their work." Morale is an individual and combined spirit. It is the combination of various qualities like courage, resolution and confidence. Confidence in oneself and in the company's management is a factor which affects the morale of the workers.
Morale, therefore, refers to zeal for action. It implies the collective attitude of workers in their job; the cheerful spirits coupled with confidence of workers as one unit. Morale is another objective of the communication. High morale among the workers is necessary for smooth functioning of the organization.
Morale being the barometer indicates the well-being of an organization. Hence business organizations should periodically study morale through informal meetings with workers or through questionnaires. Such measures help to raise the employee's morale and confidence in their management.

To motivate means “to cause to act.” It has also been defined as “that inner state which energies activates or moves and, which directs or channel's behavior towards certain goals.”
According to Koontz and O'Donnell definition motivation are followed:
“A general term applying to the entire class of drives, desires, needs, wishes and similar forces.”
According to to Michael Jucius definition motivation are followed:
“Motivation is the act of stimulating someone or oneself to get a desired course of action, to push the right button to get a desired reaction.”
An order is an oral or written communication directing the starting, stopping or modification of an activity. It is a form of communication by which management directs its subordinates and employees and seeks to achieve its objectives. Before issuing an order, there should be proper planning by the order issuing person.
Mr. George Terry gives us the five Ws and H of a good order. For an order to be effective, it must tell the subordinate. Who, What, When, Where. Why and How.
Orders are important part of internal management of a business. They are commands laid down by superiors, and the subordinates dare not ignore or violate these commands. The superiors only issue order, but they do not communicate to the subordinate as to how he is to do or modify an activity.
A business organization is made up of people, whose collective aim is to promote its products / services and make a profit. In order to achieve these goals / aims, every organization sets its own goals called objectives. Objectives can be defined as the ultimate aim of an organization that propels (push forward) people into effective action.
No business organization, whether it is a small or large can succeed in its purpose of maximizing production, sales and profits unless it organizes and co-ordinates its various business activities and succeeds in eliciting (drawing) full co-operation from its employees.

Feedback is an integral part of communication, and it allows the sender of a message to judge how effective it has been. Feedback is the final link or component in the communication chain or cycle. When the receiver of a communication sends a response or reply to the message, it is called feedback. Feedback is essential in all communications as it indicates successful transmission of the message. Feedback can be defined as the process by which the decoder's (receivers) reaction to the message is transmitted to the encoder (sender). Feedback is the backbone of the communication.

Environment management example, Water pollution is the major environmental problem. To manage this, we have to control the disposal of effluents in water bodies, change the style of celebration of festivals and adopt the style less harmful to water bodies. Care should be taken to reduce oil spills. Use of fertilizers and pesticides should be reduced. While disposing solid waste, non degradable goods should not be disposed off in water.
Environment is a non-trade issue. However, WTO has come to dominate the WTO environmental standards, WTO environmental issues, WTO environmental disputes, WTO environmental policy and agenda.

Development of telecommunication has been regarded as “man rebellion against barriers of time and space and his success in overcoming them.” Telecommunication technology has changed the meaning of time and space. GLOBAL VILLAGE: Due to better and faster development of communication, the world is shrinking. Satellite has changed the entire outlook of mankind. It has brought men much nearer. Today no country is an isolated island, because what happens in any one country is significant to even most remote places on the earth due to modern communication. Earth is shrinking and world has become a global village, because people of earth are coming closer, to one another in time and space.
Economic activities related with all processing and conversion of raw materials into finished goods come within the domain of the manufacturing sector. Due to globalization, the whole world can be considered as one unit and due to increasing mobility of labour and capital, the political boundaries have lost their significance in regulating trade, and rapid development of transport and communication, traditional locational factors of manufacturing industries are not very important today.
People working in the primary sector extract resources directly from Earth. People working in the secondary sector convert raw materials into finished goods. All other jobs are included in the tertiary sector. Tertiary sector includes many jobs. All this activties is know as Economic activities.

Due to increasing population & rapid industrialization, higher percentages of waste products are added & ecological balance has been disturbed. This has resulted in environment problems & degradation.
